This year's Wishart Lunch will again be at the historic Doric Tavern (pictured below) in Edinburgh's Old Town, on Wednesday 12th November 2008.
The Doric Tavern is located immediately behind Waverley Station in Market Street, almost next door to the City Art Gallery and a few yards from the terminus for the airport shuttle bus. It is therefore ideally convenient for rail and air travellers, and can also be easily reached by buses to Princes Street. You can read all about it at www.thedoric.co.uk.
The menu should cost around £20 for three courses with a wider choice of dishes that we have had in the past. This price does not include drinks or coffee but both are available as extras. We need to know if you wish to attend. Please let Col. Jack Wishart know how many will be in your party, where you will be coming from and do tell anyone you know who might be interested but who may not see this page. As soon as a detailed menu is available it will be posted here. We look forward to seeing many Wisharts on the day. The 2008 Wishart Lunch is on
Wednesday 12th November. We will meet in the bar (pictured left) at about 12 noon and dine in the Doric Bistro (upstairs - shown above), departing at around 3 pm.
